Carolina Arias is a Colombian immigrant and first-generation college graduate with over a decade of experience in Personal Injury, Immigration, and Human Rights Law. Her passion for law was sparked by two pivotal events in her life.
First, Carolina recognized the power of understanding the law when her family was able to obtain Permanent Resident Cards and migrate to the United States thanks to her father’s achievements as a two-time Olympian Cyclist.
The second key event occurred while she was in college, when her mother was struck by a vehicle. Witnessing firsthand the hardships and frustrations that come with being involved in a motor vehicle accident, Carolina realized the profound impact the legal process can have on someone’s life and how she can be of service to others through her experience and formal education.
She began her legal journey as a receptionist at a boutique law firm while completing her Bachelor of Science at Kennesaw State University. During her studies, she consistently made the Dean’s List and was awarded a scholarship for her academic achievements. Since then, she has worked for prominent law firms, international firms like Organización Benjamin Herrera, and nonprofit organizations such as the Southern Poverty Law Center.
During her first year of law school, Carolina founded United Voices Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to educating and representing underserved communities. She earned her J.D. from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, where she received the John E. Ryan Merit Scholarship and continued to make the Dean’s List.
Carolina’s efforts have been recognized through numerous awards, including the Clinical Legal Education Award and the Islamic Circle of North America Community Service Award. In 2022, she was honored with the Chief Justice Leah Ward Sears Pro Bono Award by Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School.
In 2022, Carolina joined Starrett & Harris Law, where she leverages her experience and background to better serve the firm’s Spanish-speaking clients

Insurance companies prioritize their bottom line, not your well-being. Their initial offer might seem tempting, but it likely won’t cover the full extent of your damages, both current and future. An experienced lawyer will ensure your rights are protected and fight for the maximum compensation you deserve.
The sooner, the better. Evidence can fade over time, and witness accounts become less reliable. A lawyer can start building your case immediately, maximizing your chances of a successful outcome.
Beyond immediate medical bills, you may be entitled to compensation for lost wages, pain and suffering, emotional distress, rehabilitation costs, and future medical expenses. A thorough investigation conducted by your lawyer will uncover the full scope of your damages.
Unfortunately, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. The complexity of your case, severity of injuries, and cooperation of involved parties all play a role. However, we’ll work diligently to resolve your case as quickly and efficiently as possible, while ensuring a fair outcome.
Everything matters! Keep copies of police reports, medical bills, receipts for related expenses, photographs of the accident scene and your injuries, and any witness statements you can gather. This documentation will be crucial when building your case.
Many personal injury lawyers work on a contingency fee basis. This means you don’t pay anything upfront, and our fees are only collected if we win your case.
